My experience:
Not recommended. Tim is at the helm and he does not take responsibility for mistakes. Example: didn't read the specs for the counter depth refrigerator I bought and built the refrigerator cabinet 3 inches too deep. So instead of admitting the mistake and fixing it, Tim and Roman pulled the refrigerator out 3 inches farther into the kitchen trying to fool me. That negated the space -saving feature of the counter depth refrigerator and got in the way so the window wouldn't open. Tim's response? Arguing adamantly that " It is supposed to be that way" and double charging for labor and mterials to fix his mistake. Outrageous. He wants me to pay twice to fix hisistake
Another example:. Instead of 42" cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling, Tim put in 36" cabinets and dropped them down with a gap between the cabinets and ceiling without consulting me. I learned of what he has done when I saw them installed. And they didn't paint the ceiling before installing. Tim's response: the ceiling was uneven. Begs the question of why I was not told of it before they installed if it was a real problem. In reality, the 36" cabinets were cheaper than 42" and they got a greater profit margin out of the contract cabinet allowance.
I've been patient and have worked with them to try to resolve the issues since March. They have been at it since last November; it is today August 5. They have worked one day since March.
I hired them because I knew Tim from church. Now I know him better, having been sadly introduced to his irresponsible and unprofessional behaviors and his slick and unreasonable, uncompromising personality.
Word to the wise: Tim's mission is to make money. in his words and I quote, " go from a 2 million a year business to a 20 million a year business" . Good work and ethical business practices are not part of his equation. Those who hire him will pay dearly to help him achieve his goal.
He recently added skills he does not possess to his LinkedIn profile. His using software without measuring or reading specs doesn't make him a designer. Double charging to correct his mistakes and decisions made without consulting does not make him a professional. Digging his feet in the ground refusing compromise and then claiming conflict resolution and negotiation skills is just plain arrogant. All he really is is ambitious.
